Some people only associate Ouija boards with talking with demons. Here’s a few examples of boards made to specifically speak with angels. This first-edition 1890s Ouija board is on display through November 1. Margaret Brown was a Spiritualist, a practice that gained traction afte the Civil War to connect with lost loved ones. She often attended palm readings and hired fortune tellers for her philanthropic events. The Ouija board, named in the 1890s by a Denver medium, was another Spiritualist device through which mediums could communicate with the deceased. I thought I’d share some extremely rare boards that used a unique style planchette. Most people may only think of a heart shaped planchette with the hole in the center. These two boards use a pointed stick. Hope you enjoy seeing them.
