Yep, you read that right! Starting June 1st, the museum is moving to summer hours, which means we are open every single day. If the kids are bouncing off the walls on a Monday morning, you know exactly where to bring them.

To match our new energy, the Playgrounds Café is ALSO open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. Morning caffeine fixes and afternoon snack rescues? Handled.

Who is ready for a little mid-day or afternoon fun? Our Make & Take is happening today, and we would love for your creative kiddos to join us!

Bring your little ones by to hear a super fun story, and then watch them put their big imaginations to work with a hands-on activity they get to design, build, and take home. It is the perfect blend of cozy storytime and creative maker magic. 🏠❤️

Calling all makers, creators, and DIY-loving kiddos! 🎨🔨✨

Our Crafter Camp is officially on the horizon for July 27 – July 31, and we still have a few spots open! Honestly, this is usually one of the very first camps to completely fill up, so finding a few openings right now is like hitting the summer jackpot. 🎰🙌

This isn't your average paper-and-glue camp. We are diving into the good stuff! Your serious little makers will get to master awesome, real-world skills like:
🔨 Beginner woodworking
💡 Making their very own neon signs
🪡 Hand-stitching masterpieces

It is going to be a week full of focus, pride, and so many cool projects to bring home. If you want a camp that keeps their hands busy and their creative brains buzzin', this is the one! 🏠❤️

Just a little reminder that the Gilbert House is packed with wonder around every single corner! Whether your kiddos are serving up orders at the Gilbert Grill, getting hands-on in the Science Lab, or letting their imagination run wild in the Vet Clinic upstairs, there is so much to see and do.

We are thrilled to introduce another new face to our summer camp family. Rachel joins us with years of experience as a long-time substitute teacher for Salem-Keizer Public Schools, and we are so excited to have her bring that classroom magic to Gilbert House.

Her deep roots in our local schools and her passion for working with students make her a natural fit for our "learning through play" philosophy. We know our campers are going to love the energy and expertise she brings to our sessions this year! 🏠🙌

The countdown is officially ON! ⏱️☀️

We are just 34 days away from the first day of camp! Our 7-week summer program runs from June 29 to August 14. Consider this your sign to secure a spot for your kiddos to learn and explore with Rachel and the rest of our incredible teaching crew. 🎟️✨

There is nothing quite like the creative play that happens at our Gilbert Grill. We love watching our young "chefs" take orders, prep meals, and serve up fun on the first floor of the Gilbert House. It’s the perfect spot for building social skills and big imaginations!
