About me...


I was raised on a farm a few miles outside of a small town in the Ozarks.

Things were much different then than they are now. Our rotary dial phone had a party line we shared with neighbors who lived on our gravel road, we only got two channels on our television, and had to go outside to turn the antennae by hand when we wanted to change the channel, and my brother and sister and I had to squeeze into the backseat of whatever beater my dad drove at the time to go on the

dreaded Sunday drives. Those drives were our hillbilly entertainment. When I started drawing, I also started dreading those drives a little less. I began studying the old barns, fences, and rusted out pickup trucks we would drive past. I memorized the details of trees, ponds, and creeks, and began incorporating them into my drawings. Eventually I began painting them. My artwork takes me back to a simpler time. I hope it does the same for you.
