Good morning,
June 1st

We are planning a mini flea market at the shop parking lot, 768 N. Broadway, salina, ks. On june 13th. I would probably limit it to maybe 10 vendors to setup and peddle their items. You would need your own tables and collect your own cash. Now it would be good if it was an assortment of vendors, not just diecast/Hot Wheels people, but that might be an idea also. So if anyone is interested, message me. The first one would be saturday, June 13th from 9am to 2pm. Also, it would only be held every 3 weeks, as that is how my schedule is running.

Currently have 2 people wanting to setup, so we have room for more.

So it was a little busy last nite and i was a little tired to get something posted.
So Good Morning

This last week was pretty normal week with Sheryl, still working on a couple issues, but there are a couple things to work on this week.
So we will see how it goes. Thanks for the prayers, they are needed and welcomed.

So this week the shop will be open today

Monday June 1st 2pm to 5pm
Thursday June 4th 2pm to 5pm

So we have around 40 Super Treasure Hunt Hot Wheels that are extra and up for trade, willing to trade for other STH's or cars of comparable value. These all vary in price from $25 to as much as $100+ ea.
So if your into collecting and feel the need to trade, come on down. We will make it happen.

Good Wednesday evening,

So was thinking of a couple things and was going to see if I had any interest or not.

The first thing I was thinking of doing is a mini flea market in the shop parking lot. I would probably limit it to maybe 10 vendors to setup and peddle their items. Now it would be good if it was an assortment of vendors, not just diecast/Hot Wheels people, but that might be an idea also. The second item is that I am wondering if there is anyone local that does (What Not Shows) and if you have a decent following, I would like to visit and see if there is tips or hints to getting started. Just message me or pass my name along if you know someone. If your not sure what a (What Not) show is. It is actually selling live on an app called (What not) it is fast paced selling and there is a wide variety of things sold.

Good Sunday evening

So Happy Memorial day weekend, Hope everyone is doing good and having a safe, fun weekend.
So this week Sheryl did fairly well, we had a few trying moments, but did fairly good. We do need prayers for her as she gets further into this and that she really doesn't know what is happening to her. She gets really scared at times and really upset. When I am able it seems to calm her by taking a ride in the car, so if you see us out and about, that is probably why. Not sure why it calms her down, but it works.

So last Saturdays parking lot sale was pretty busy and fun day for me. Lots of visiting, showing and selling. Thanks to all that stopped by. You made my day.

This week we will be open
Tuesday May 26th, 2pm -5pm
Friday May 29th, 2pm to 5pm

So as the pictures in this post shows boxes of loose Hot wheels, this is a small portion of them. There are approximately 90 of these drawers and each drawer holds about 24, so approximately 2000 were available and we sold several hundred Saturday. So this week i would like to continue the special of 3 cars for $1.00
So stop and get a few or a lot.

Good Thursday morning,
We were planing on being open today, but things happened, scheduling conflicts and other issues. So the next time we will be open will be Wednesday may 20th 2p. To 5pm.
And Saturday the 23rd hours to be announced later.

Also, it seems that to get a good picture of your cars/trucks etc. Is either morning to early to mid afternoon or after the sun goes down. Also, parking completely in the grass and close to the railroad ties. We have had a few takers and I may need to move the sign up a little for the taller vehicles. Thanks for your interest.

CHECK IT OUT

Well I finally got the side all painted and the signs hung up, it is now available for photo opportunities if anyone has a hotter Hot Wheel than mine. Lol
Now as you can see my car it is facing towards braoadway. If you know anything about Hot Wheels they all face this direction. If it faces the other way, you have a Matchbox car.
It is OK and best to park on the grass as close to the RR ties as possible, watch the RR ties so not to scratch your car, (not responsibleif you do), so center your car and go take pictures of it( best from middle of street, so watch for cars)and edit them.
Be sure to share your photos and spread the word, it is all for fun.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the wonderful ladies, young and old, regular moms, pet moms and even moms to be. Everyone has or had a mom, so thanks to them. We all are here to make this world a better place. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.

So this week went fairly well with Sheryl, the medicine is not quite doing what we hoped in the afternoons, but will try and little longer before, pursuing of medications. It is very hard to try and comfort and redirect and not see results. I have found that just going for a car ride seems to help most. Thanks for your continued prayers.

As for Long's Collectibles showplace, next week we will be open

Good Sunday Evening
May 3rd 2026

So this week has been a crazy week, Sheryl is still struggling in the early to late afternoons. We did change some medication, but really didn't do anything for what is going on. So, we have another message into the doctor about other options. So prayers are needed to at least help lower her stress level and feel better.

Other things last week, with the hailstorm that hit mostly the south end of town the mall roof sustained damage, thus causing internal problems and the mall is closed for the most part. As for Junk in the trunk, lots of leaks and downed tiles, so we only suffered minor damage in our booth, but we have pulled our products and displays out until further notice. As things change, i will keep you posted on our status there.
As for the shop, there were no leaks from this last storm and all is good. We had a parking lot sale yesterday/Saturday. It was a lot of fun with lots of people picking up bargains outside touring inside at the large collection of Barbies, Hot Wheels, Etc. Thanks for stopping and shopping and visiting. I had help with some super helpers, A big thank you to Christy, Connor, Lexy, Cody and Trapper. Things always goes faster with help and it is appreciated very much.
