Call for Artists! Power of Small challenges artists to demonstrate the impact of work created on an intimate scale. In contrast to the large-scale works featured in the Mountain Plains Biennial opening May 22, this exhibition celebrates the strength, precision, and presence of small-format art.

All submitted works must be smaller than 5 x 7 inches. Whether the size of a postage stamp or a greeting card, artists are invited to experiment across mediums, surfaces, and techniques to create pieces that are small in scale but powerful in effect. This exhibition asks viewers to step closer—to slow down, look carefully, and discover the depth, detail, and intention contained within each work.

We welcome submissions in all media, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media, as long as they adhere to the size limitation. Works should demonstrate thoughtful composition, technical skill, and a strong sense of intention within the confined format.

Join us this week for First Friday! Free, come & go, with signature cocktails from 5-7 pm! Hope Steinle is a pressed flower artist based in Lawrence, Kansas, creating botanical art from real pressed flowers.
Her work begins in the garden — growing, gathering, and pressing each flower before arranging them into one-of-a-kind floral compositions. Every piece is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted, transforming real flowers into timeless nature-inspired artwork for the home.
