EVENT UPDATE — PLEASE READ

Do to lack of pre-sales, we will not be having a BBQ BUT will be having various other activities. While we are certain to have a food truck or two, please come refreshed or bring your own refreshments. Sorry for the inconvenience but the day promises to be very interesting!

Dear Members:

Join us for Rancho Day at the Adobe on September 21st 10 am-4 pm. This includes:

-Historic house docent-led tours including at the Boronda Adobe and one-room schoolhouse

-Costumed re-enactors

-Demonstrations (stone tools, hands-on Native American bead making, cowboy roping, spinning, hide and tallow)

-Vintage cars

-Vintage photo booth with prints

-Our long-awaited 1880s style library

-Heirloom garden walkabouts

-Produce and book sale

-Ambassadors present from various historical and cultural institutions

Due to lack of presales, we've modified the original schedule and have replaced the BBQ portion of the event with a food truck. Those who prepaid for the BBQ will be refunded to the original payment method. If you sent a check, it hasn't been deposited (we can mail it back to you or shred it) or converted into a donation towards our ongoing preservation efforts.

We are proud to announce that this Saturday, July 20th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, the Boronda Adobe History Center will feature the world-renowned trio of Christopher, Yolanda, and Alegria Garcia of XOCHI CUICATL FLOWER SONGS FLOR Y CANTO...whose performances of Amerindian / Mesoamerican Flower Songs have been featured and premiered throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe. I want to invite you to attend this concert to experience the Indigenous sounds of the Ancestors.

The concert will be convened at the Boronda Adobe History Center located at 333 Boronda Road, Salinas, CA 93907. For additional information about the Center, see our website at https://mchsmuseum.com/
As always, we are pleased to offer this concert to you at no charge. There is also no cost for parking. However, we gratefully accept donations to support our future events.
