Art Institute and Gallery To enhance the visual arts in the Mid-Delmarva region through exhibitions and education of children and adults.

The Art Institute & Gallery (AI&G) is located in downtown Salisbury, Maryland. AI&G is a 501c3 non-profit arts organization, funded in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (funding for the Maryland State Arts Council is also provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency), The Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council (SWAC), and the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore. The AI&G

is strongly supported by individual donations, Memberships and an Annual Appeals. Originally established in 1953 as the Salisbury Art League, the AI&G now celebrates its 60th year of service. The mission of the AI&G is to advance the visual arts in the mid-Delmarva region through exhibitions and art education for children and adults. After 60 years, this unique art center continues to fulfill its mission by offering many opportunities to participate in the arts.
