Adam Ward Rome spoke today by Zoom at the Scoville Memorial Library about his book CONNECTICUT’S CANNON. The talk highlighted the role of Salisbury-made cannon in the Revolutionary War. Lou Bucceri moderated questions.

A great day for the Land Trust’s bird walk on the Railroad Ramble, led by Trustee George Wallace. Spotted: green heron, veery, red-shouldered hawk, yellow, chestnut-sided and magnolia warblers, gold finch, Baltimore oriole, American redstart, wood ducks and more!

Salisbury Association Land Trust Tree-Savers!

Thank you to the Salisbury Association Land Trust volunteers who came out Saturday to help clear invasive plants and clean up the trail on our Belter Preserve, Tom Blagden, Amy Lake, Roger McKee, Richard Pirani, Page Seyfried, Paul Szeto and Jon Zucker.

It was an incredibly productive morning, that made an amazing difference. Cutting those bittersweet vines has prevented the production of hundreds of thousands of seeds! And a special shoutout to Roger and Paul for hiking the trail and cleaning up the drainage ditches….. the trail is in much better shape now!

Thank you again everyone, without your time and dedication we wouldn't be able to do what we do!
