This Friday and Saturday!!!
Our suspects are already pointing fingers at each other. We need help on solving the murder!
**TICKETS ARE SOLD ONLY AT THE OFFICE!!!!**
No online tickets sold at all. Beware of scammers.
Dress accordingly, it seems that Texas saw the DPS and decide to hit the brakes after going 90 for the past few weeks. Looks like it is going to be nice and cool. 🤞

Not interested in the paranormal? But still want to see Fort Concho at night?? Join us October 16–17 for a whodunit-style mystery with suspects inspired by real people from Fort Concho history.

Someone has killed C. A. Daver, and it’s up to you to find the culprit! (Did you know that our fictional victim takes inspiration from George A***s, a real officer whose time at the fort included more than a little trouble.)

You can gather your friends and work together OR compete to see who cracks the case first!
Of course, few tips: wear comfortable shoes and clothing (dress according to the weather! Its San Angelo, it might be 90 degrees and snowing that night!), bring a flashlight, and prepare to explore the fort in search of answers.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, the suspects line up and our detective will give his first briefing at 7 PM.
This is a come-and-go event, but all suspects leave at 10 PM. So arriving at 9:30 means you’ll have just 30 minutes to solve the mystery, so give yourself plenty of time! No refunds will be issued for late arrivals.

Admission is $12 for general admission and $10 for children ages 7–17 and Fort Concho members with membership ID. Tickets are on sale now at our office, 630 S. Oakes Street, and will also be available at the door each evening.
Tickets will not sell out!
So don't worry about missing out on this murder.
The dead don't have any place to go.

Let us switch gears a bit...lets go from "spooky" to "student-y?"

Calling all teachers and educators!
Did you know that you can bring your students out for to experience living history firsthand?

On December 4, 2026, marks over 32 years of Fort Concho hosting Students' Day. We will have living historians from all over the state of Texas covering American history. Are you covering settlers or community development? We have living history camps for that. Are you covering The American Revolution, World War II, or the Vietnam War? There is a living history camp for that too! We will also have a Civil War cannon demonstration halfway through each session.

This program is open to all homeschool, private, and public schools.

How do you join us? Register in advance by calling/texting our education department at 325-650-3161 or email us at [email protected]. When registering, please include: the number of students attending, your preferred session, and whether your school will need an invoice.

Gray Fox
While searching for ghosts at last night’s After Dark event at Fort Concho, we spied a wispy creature shrouded in silvery-gray darting among the buildings. But this was no silver specter, it turned out to be a common Gray Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus)!
These small canids are predominately nocturnal, so it makes perfect sense for this fox to join us in our paranormal escapades. These foxes tolerate a range of environments and can be found from Canada all the way down to Northern Mexico. Gray foxes are specifically adapted to climb, being one of the few canids to regularly climb trees.
Did anyone catch a glimpse of our gray friend tonight?

Missed the spooky fun last night? You still have one more night to check out some of our buildings tonight!
Doors open for wristband sales at 7:30 PM. The crowd has been let loose at 8PM. You don't want to miss this!!!

**Few things: please please please be respectful of the site! Do not let your children, teenagers or adults play on any of the ruins at the fort! It is for y'all's safety and for the preservation of the fort to stay off the ruins. If we see anyone on the ruins, you will be told to leave. No refunds.
Also if you take any photos...tag us! We want to see them too!

Join us Friday, October 9, or Saturday, October 10, from 8 - 10 PM for an evening of Fort Concho history, mystery, and paranormal investigations with Shadow Path Paranormall!

Same as last year, you’re free to explore at your own pace, with no assigned tour groups. Bring your voice recorders, EMF detectors, or camcorders and see what you discover!
**There are no planned jump scares—but we can’t speak for anything else.

Admission is $12 per person, or $10 for Fort Concho members (with a membership card).
Children ages 7 - 17 are $10 with a paid general admission ticket, and children 6 and under are free. All children and teens must be accompanied by an adult—no exceptions.

Our Barracks 1 doors will open at 7:30 PM for ticket purchases and restroom breaks (or even gift shop sales 😉).
However, we recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time to avoid long lines the night of!
Tickets will also be sold at the door, with cash and credit cards accepted.
Just a heads up, tickets cannot be held without payment.

For those that have purchased tickets ahead of time, please bring your tickets with you! They are required for admission.
Although all activities end at 10 PM, we would advise arriving early enough to enjoy the evening.
A 9:30 PM arrival leaves just 30 minutes to explore. Our volunteers will mentally shut down at 10 PM. No refunds will be issued.

Since we live in West Texas (some say Central Texas? 🤷‍♀️) check the forecast! It can be unpredictable! Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for uneven terrain. Bring a flashlight or use your phone’s light to safely cross the Parade Ground. Rain or snow won’t stop the evening, but nearby lightning may interrupt activities.
