ce University, Houston, Texas and the Chicago Art Institute, Chicago, Illinois. The art which is in series consists of non-figurative art, hearts, and cholos (dogs as metaphors and signs). The focus of all the series examines looking inward and looking at my environment. The cultural, social, political and economic issues that impact our community are examined for the changes they create. This creates a tool by which changes are represented and how those representations are also represented. This also allows me to look forward rather than to only look to the past. The gallery will also feature guest artists that present works that show compelling issues in their art. The artists selected will come from all segments of the community because of their vision and the excellence of their work. The gallery will be open the first Friday and second Saturday of each month, 7 pm to 10 pm. As well as Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 10 am to 2 pm, other times by appointment.
