San Benito Historical Society and Museum

San Benito Historical Society and Museum The San Benito History Museum is operated by the San Benito Historical Society. Members and other volunteers operate the Museum.

It is one of three components of the Museums of San Benito. The other two are the Texas Conjunto Hall of Fame and the Freddy Fender Museum. The mission of the San Benito History Museum is to chronicle, protect and preserve the history and cultural heritage of the City of San Benito, Texas and surrounding communities.

We remember and honor our own Dolly Vinsant this Memorial Day. She was killed by direct enemy fire in German airspace on April 14, 1945. She is buried in the United States Military Cemetery at Margraten, Netherlands. You can read more here:
