He’s been sketching his favorite waves 🌊 and putting them on his website, but they go quick so he’s got to draw ✍️ more!

In this video shares the process of working with a client on a commissioned surfboard painting for a live event.

This video is shot inside Drew’s art gallery in San Clemente CA California, February 2026.

This particular surfboard painting commission was painted at a live event of one of the world‘s largest accounting firms.

The painting itself captured the theme of the event, which was the southern California beach 🏝️ and surfing lifestyle.

Drew shares his process for a commission like this, which includes a creative talk with the client to drill down what’s important to them and the theme they want in the painting, the sketch ✍️ process, and then how he paints part of the surfboard before the event and leaves the center portion unpainted so they can watch it come to life before their eyes 👀 .

He also adds an experiential element during the live event, where he will invite the guests to add a little color.

This surfboard painting turned out really good, don’t you think? 😎 Now it’s on its way to its final resting place in Denver, Colorado. ⚡️

Here are just a few photos of the many people who have celebrated the miracle recovery and near death experience of Drew Brophy by picking up copies of Maria’s book,COVID A LOVE STORY 📕

This memoir chronicles what 1.6 million families experienced during the pandemic, when their loved one died with Covid.

It’s one of the few happy endings, for what it took to get to that happy ending was quite phenomenal.

The story will make you cry, it will make you cheer, and it will give you hope and inspiration. It shows what the human spirit can do with the help of a loving community, and the stubbornness of a wife who won’t let her husband go.

Drew Brophy is the only Covid patient in the entire country that survived the severity of his condition. There will be a movie made about this story and it will reach millions of people, inspiring them in a way that will make their lives better.

Surfing waves is like riding the heartbeat 💗 of the planet. No words can describe the Euphoria you feel when you’re gliding on energy ⚡️that traveled all the way around the planet in the form of a Wave.

They say “only a Surfer knows the feeling” 😎and maybe that’s true, but paintings are intended to pass that feeling on to everyone. 😃

This painting was for a corporate client – it’s going into one of their offices in Denver, Colorado, so they can keep that southern California vibe with them even though they’re far from the ocean!

Life is good 🏄🏽‍♂️
