Thanks 🙏 to all of our hikers for a fantastic season! We enjoyed each and every adventure with you, and hope that you continue getting out there over the summer (and stay 😎!). We will be posting our 2026-27 season soon, and look forward to see you again in September🥾!

Our final hike of the season is Saturday June 20 and we’re having a party 🎉!

The Canyoneers would like to invite you to an end-of-season potluck/picnic following this hike. We'll be barbequing hamburgers 🍔and brats 🌭and also some other items for you to enjoy. Please feel free to bring your own drinks and anything else you'd like to have or share.

June 14 Sunday 8am Batiquitos Lagoon - easy hike along the lagoon shoreline 🦆

Saturday June 20 9am William Heise County Park - intermediate hike through the canopy of oaks, cedars, and pines in the northern end of the Cuyamaca range 🎄

By the way, we have a fantastic season planned for 2026/2027 so stay tuned for the schedule coming later this summer! 🤐

June 15 Sunday 8am - Batiquitos Lagoon 🦅
June 20 Saturday 9am W. Heise County Park 🦌 - our FINAL HIKE 😢

Want to see some of the best views in San Diego County? Join us on Sunday May 31st for a hike along the PCT in the beautiful Laguna mountains. We'll start hiking at Kwaaymii Point and end at Sunrise trailhead, just short of 7 miles with around 500 ft elevation change.
∗ There will also be a shorter 5 mile offering along the same trail, and you can make your decision during the hike.
→ This is a point to point hike, so there will be some 🚗shuttling between the start and end points. Meeting place will be Sunrise trailhead at 9am.
If you join us, bring plenty of water 💦 (there is little shade), good footwear 🥾, hat 🧢, a snack 🥨, and some electrolytes.

This Sunday at 8am join us to hike down to a waterfall! We will start just off Sunrise Highway and make our way down to Cottonwood Creek to sit by the flowing water. This hike is 3 miles, with a steep decent and returning ascent, so poles and good boots are recommended.

The Canyoneers are leading a hike in the Tijuana River Valley Regional Park on Saturday 8am. Join us for a steep but short hike up to an overlook. This area is filled with birds and coastal sage scrub.
