Portfolio of drawings can give you a competitive advantage in your application for engineering or mathematics! Your presenting of artwork as your extracurricular will surprise Admission officers: not many engineering students know how to draw!

You are not demonstrating anything special by showing good grades and high scores; everybody who is applying to good schools has that! Art Portfolio will surely make you stand out.

Art helps develop the ability to think outside the box - the trait that not just artists but many other professionals can benefit from: lawyers, physicists, writers, investigators, teachers! In addition, the activity where you can express yourself without words is very rewarding and therapeutic. For the immediate goal - to get noticed by College Admissions, it is an Art Portfolio that becomes the most impressive of all other extracurriculars.

No skills? No problem! We can teach ANYBODY from scratch in just a few months.

In addition to creativity, another great quality of the artist is resourcefulness.

Our Portfolio students are trained in developing many useful life skills, including the ability to work with found materials. Artists should always be able to create something out of nothing!

The figure model in that class was costumed as a immigrant refugee - the story that Isabella, our student, could relate to: together with her mother, she herself had escaped the brutal regime in Venezuela.

Isabella wanted to express the figure in a unique way that would speak of her own experience. She used two sheets of craft wrapping paper; she made one sheet her substrate, then colored the other sheet blue using watercolors, sliced into small pieces, and shrouded over her pastel drawing, to convey the sense of loss.

Art is truly unique when it is authentic.
