3rd grade students at San Diego Jnior Theatre this week worked as an ensemble to develop, rehearse and then perform a tableau that explored folktales from cultures around the world. Students learned to use the tools of a performer including body, voice, and imagination while participating in rehearsals for scenes, songs, and dances. Thanks to Jr. Theatre teaching artist Justin Lang, students learned how and why people tell stories, what a folktale is, and participated in rehearsals for scenes, songs, and dances from around the world!
