I am sorry to post that Dave Gardner a long time member and president of the club for several years passed away from Covid this week. He sure loved running and working on the layout. He will be missed.

This area of our layout needed to be redone. It used to have many trees but they were all removed. We uncovered a unknown sink hole and we found several lost horses hiding under the trees. Now ready for fresh landscaping.

The SDOSN's fascia is in need of a repaint and what a perfect time to change it's color. So here is our test colors to choose from. Starting from the left we have Black, Red tone, Green and our existing color of Beige. Let us know which one you like best. Black was a heavy favorite starting this project but others seem to think it's to distracting. Let us know!!!!

Here is a great link to a silent movie about the San Diego Model Railroad Museum from 1983. There is lots of vintage footage of the PDL and I even recognize the circus train which is currently on display at the museum. Hand laying track to scenery being installed at the La Mesa HO layout. A must see!!!!!!
