The Gaslamp Museum invites you to a very special event! On July 24th from 6 to 9 pm the ghosts of the house will offer a frightfully fun glimpse into the past. Watch Anna Scheper, the nurse who turned the house into the first county hospital, as she decides what treatments her patients should get. Will it be leaches or? Learn a secret or two about Alonzo Horton and his five wives. Or perhaps you’ll encounter a ghost in the Deyo Study, long known as the most haunted room of the house.

Watch a classic movie in the courtyard, have an adult beverage or soft drink and stay awhile. Maybe forever! Bwahaaa!!

May 21st Movie Night: 🐲 The Dragon Painter (1919) 🐉

The Dragon Painter, tells the romantic story of Tatsu (played by Sessue Hayakawa), a reclusive artist who believes his fiancée (Tsuru Aoki) is a princess who had been captured and turned into a dragon.

This silent-era film was shot locally (partially) in Coronado at the breathtakingly beautiful Japanese Tea Garden, before it was removed in the late 1930s due to rising racist anti-Japanese sentiments. Now, this film is one of the only glimpses into this forgotten San Diego landmark of yore.

Tickets are only $10! (Link in bio) And include a self-guided tour of the museum.

Entry begins at 6:45, movie starts at 7:15.

Popcorn and refreshments available for sale.
