A 1932 Cinco de Mayo parade n/w/c Bonita and Monte Vista - and honestly, the real star might be in the store in the background: Pay'n Takit. No branding team, no subtlety....just 'pay and take it!" 😅
Later it became Payless Beauty Supply, but I kind of miss the bold honesty. History isn't just in the parade - it's in the storefronts too.
Then and now, the celebration continues. Happy Cinco de Mayo.

Dennison Ranch - 60-acre ranch on northeast corner of Allen and Walnut. Photo was taken about 1913 Manager W. C. Hartman at side of 1912 Ford with Mrs. Hartman at his right. In 1962 property was bought by F. Namimatsu for strawberries. Foothill Freeway now runs thru middle - east to west. I'm sure the citrus was wonderful, but can we talk about how good the strawberries were?

Little is known about this San Dimas motorcycle club, but as a bike lover myself, I especially appreciate spotting the gentleman in the Indian sweater. Looking at this group of guys, it's clear that some things never change. Motorcycles continue to bring joy to both the young and the old. If anyone recognizes these gentlemen or has any information about this photo, we’d love to hear from you.

Dawna Marshall recently shared a photo of her grandfather, Joe Walterscheid, and his daughter, Louise, on his motorcycle at the local motorcycle shop downtown, taken around 1920.
