Last week, we asked you what our best selling item in the store was during the school year. The answer: our bracelets with well-over 300 sold!

These economical choices filled the bags of many of our students coming through our shop. We even gift-wrapped a few for students looking to buy items for family members!

Don't worry, they didn't clear us out! You can get your very own beaded or memory wire bracelets for $3.99 and $2.99 each, respectively!

Today, we remember those past and present who have passed on and remember the noble causes they fought for and struggles they made before us. That is why we are open special holiday hours today, Monday, May 25th, with programing to remember the those who lived generations before us:

Beginning at 9am, come explore our new temporary exhibit, "Bypassed by Freedom but Building a Legacy," commemorating six stories of those living under enslavement here at San Felipe de Austin. Learn how their experiences and lives help change the course of Texas history.

Then, beginning at 10am, head outdoors into our living history exhibit to learn how log cabins would be constructed back in Stephen F. Austin's time. See how those coming to Mexican Texas had to work to build a community that we still call home today!

It is sure to be engaging for the whole family! Log cabin construction will continue until 4pm, with the exhibit and museum open until 5pm. We hope to see you!
