Cherishing Memories and Embracing Change: A New Chapter for Our Art Gallery

As we stand on the precipice of an exciting new chapter, we find ourselves today reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared at our current art gallery space. The walls have echoed with laughter, contemplation, and the vibrant energy of exhibitions that have graced this space at 1019 Broad Street in San Luis Obispo, CA, as this video depicts.

As we do the work of moving into our exciting new creekside space we cannot help but fondly remember the great times we've had here. The art that has adorned these walls, the friendships forged, and the sense of community that has been growing within these walls – these are the treasures we will carry with us.

Change offers the promise of fresh opportunities and unexplored horizons. Our commitment to showcasing exceptional art remains unwavering, and we are thrilled to be moving to a new space that will serve as a canvas for even more extraordinary creations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has been a part of our journey so far. Your support has been the heartbeat of this gallery. Together, we’ll turn the page and create new memories in our upcoming space, where the spirit of art and community will thrive.

When you come into the SLO Gallery look for the work of prize-winning fine art photoartist, Annie Mack. Annie is largely self-taught, breaking rules about abstract art and creating wonderful images in the process. She says, “I shoot images that aren't real “objects” in the first place. If you will, these are Abstracts to the Second Power (AB²), in which I seek an image within an image by using imagination.”

Our gallery at 1019 Broad St., San Luis Obispo, CA has welcomed many local and visiting art enthusiasts and collectors in the nearly three years we’ve been at this location. We opened here across from the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art in April 2021.

We're excited to announce that this upcoming Art After Dark, Friday, February 2nd, will be our last event in this location.

We are MOVING 40 feet. Yes, you read that right. 40 ft down the walk to the other end of the building! A fabulous space, and we’ll be Creekside! Stay tuned for some behind-the-scenes looks at moving an art gallery!

SLO Gallery features a diverse and representative selection of Central Coast art from exceptionally talented artists. Separate rooms are provided for painting/drawing and for photography, with three-dimensional art providing accents throughout. Come visit us!

Anne Kunzig, an award-winning digital artist, is new to SLO Gallery at 1019 Broad St. in San Luis Obispo. Anne began using digital art tools for landscape designs and then moved into the world of imagination, blending her own paintings and photos with other images and melding them together using online painting tools. Her artwork is wonderful and well worth the visit to SLO Gallery. A few of the pieces Anne is exhibiting at the Gallery are added to this post.
