In honor of Juneteenth, the Maritime Museum of Sandusky is offering $1 admission all day today from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

As we commemorate this important day in American history, we invite you to explore our exhibits, including our Underground Railroad exhibit, which highlights the vital role that Sandusky and Lake Erie played in the journey to freedom for many freedom seekers escaping slavery. Learn about the courageous individuals who risked everything in pursuit of liberty and the local connections to this powerful chapter of our nation's history.

Join us for a day of learning, reflection, and discovery as we honor Juneteenth and the stories of resilience, courage, and freedom that continue to inspire us today.

⚠️ Museum Closure Notice ⚠️

Due to the heat and ongoing maintenance on our HVAC system, the Maritime Museum of Sandusky will be closed today, June 10.

The comfort and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff are our top priority while this work is being completed.

Museum Announcement for Wednesday, June 10 🛟

The Maritime Museum of Sandusky will have a delayed opening tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10, to allow for building maintenance and improvements.

We will be open from 12 PM to 4 PM

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this work to help keep the museum in great shape for our visitors!

Our regular summer hours of 10 AM - 4 PM will resume on Thursday, June 11th.
