The Sandwich Arts Alliance mission is to increase the awareness and enjoyment of the creative arts for all Sandwich residents and visitors through exhibitions, performances, education, and by mentoring our children and adults. We will contribute to the cultural richness of the town by nurturing relationships among local artists and by increasing their sustainability. This mission will bring econom

ic vitality to the town and will make Sandwich a Destination for the Arts. Highlights of our 2016-2017 Program include a Village Concert Series of 3 concerts, a “Fall for the Arts” Festival with an “Arts in Action” day of artist demonstrations, plus the first annual PorchFest; Holly Days events: Boutique during House Tours, Medieval Banqet, a 2-day April Art Show, a Poetry Fest of events in April, a May Gala; Fall, Winter, Spring, and school vacation workshops and classes; an ongoing Starfish Trail program; SandwichFest 2017, and a Summer Arts Series.

DON'T MISS THIS WOMEN'S EVENT! "Celebrating Women in The Arts"
A three-day series by women, for women, about women, showcasing their talents and achievements in the visual, literary, and performing arts. Tickets at www.sandwichartsalliance.org or at the door. Advance purchase is recommended.
The events are as follows:
** WOMEN'S ART EXHIBIT OPENING RECEPTION
Thursday, March 12th, 5-7 pm, at the SAA Gallery, 130 Main Street. Free admission, donations accepted. Browse though original artwork by SAA women member artists while enjoying classical music performed by Kate Dillingham, internationally renowned cellist/composer. Awards will be presented. Light refreshments will be served.
** GRIST MILL COFFEEHOUSE - Thursday, March 12th, 5-7pm in the SAA Classroom, 130 Main Street. Free admission, donations accepted. Featuring local author readings in a lively coffeehouse setting with a lineup of women songwriters and storytellers.
** SILVER THREADS - Friday, March 13th at 7pm on The Glass Town Stage, 130 Main Street. Tickets are $30/pp. A Tribute to Linda Ronstadt with Sonia Schonning, Marcia Wytrwal, and Sara Sneed including songs such as Different Drum; You’re No Good; Blue Bayou; Desperado, Don’t Know Much and more.
** SAA GIFT SHOP - Saturday, March 14th, 11am- 4pm
Featuring Handcrafted Treasures by Women Artists. Stop by to take a look at the new spring collection created by our local women artists. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate our accomplished women in the arts!
