Lyon Air Museum is comprised of authentic aircraft, rare vehicles and related memorabilia, with emphasis on the defining event of the 20th century - World War II. Through captivating and thought provoking exhibits based in historical scholarship, visitors gain a better understanding of the important role the United States plays in shaping world history. Air Museum is located on the west side of John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. Lyon Air Museum is collocated with Martin Aviation, an Air/Lyon Inc. company and award-winning general aviation repair facility established by the famed Eddie Martin back in 1923.

82 Years Ago Today… We Will Always Remember.

Along the shores of Normandy, more than 160,000 Allied troops crossed the English Channel and launched one of the most ambitious military operations in history.

On June 6, 1944, during Operation Overlord, an amphibious assault codenamed Operation Neptune, launched American, British, Canadian, and Allied forces to face overwhelming odds as they stormed the beaches of Nazi-occupied France.

Their courage, sacrifice, and determination helped turn the tide of World War II.

On this 82nd Anniversary of D-Day, we pause to remember the heroes who answered the call and to those who never returned home

From Coupes, Classic Roadsters, all the way to Pickups, Customs, and nostalgic Hot Rod icons. This annual tradition brings the spirit of Dry Lake Runs, Drag Strips, and old-school Drive-In culture roaring back to life. It’s the Summer Event YOU CANNOT MISS 🫵⏩🔥

Showcase what you’ve got! Submit your period correct Hot Rod for review by our Event Selection Committee. If approved, you’ll lock in your spot with a $40 Advance Registration Ticket.
