Before, during, after...and a reminder of why preservation matters!

This beam looked stable, until it wasn’t. When it gave way unexpectedly, it reinforced something we know to be true: caring for a historic site means always being ready for the unknown.

Every donation, tour ticket, and purchase in the Mission gift shop allows us to act quickly, restore thoughtfully, and preserve history for the future.

This past Sunday, we celebrated the inauguration of the Mission’s new ADA ramp. Thank you to all who joined us in support of this meaningful step forward. This thoughtful addition will welcome more visitors to experience the beauty of the Mission church and its sweeping views of Santa Barbara. We’re deeply grateful to our donors, the City of Santa Barbara, and Schipper Construction, because of you, people from all walks of life can enter with dignity today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
