I will be attending this event on Thursday and I have a few minutes to talk about the conservation of paintings by these artists. "A thrilling Victorian love story is the centerpiece of this talk. Andre Gisson (1921 - 2002) was a popular American painter of the French Impressionist style. This is most likely the Place de la Concorde. The painting was professionally cleaned and restored by me, an art conservator for over 3 decades. It has been lined to Belgian linen to repair a tear. It is a nearly invisible tear repair.
