"The Carrot": The carrot is in the top 10 most economically important global vegetable crop, they originated from the wild carrot which was native to Europe and Southwestern Asia. The ancient greeks and Romans ate carrots in a variety of various colors other than orange. It is true that eating a massive amount of carrots can sometimes cause your skin to turn yellowish orange, but don't worry it is completely fixable when you stop eating them.

"The Beet": Other than as a food beets hav been used as a food coloring and as a medicinal plant, especially for treating illnesses related to digestion and the blood and has been used as the cure for the effects of garlic breath. It can be boiled, steamed, peeled, shredded, eaten warm or cold, and even pickled.

"The Artichoke": The artichoke is a perennial thistle that originated in the Mediterranean and is technically a flower that hasn't bloomed yet. The first mention of the artichoke was around 40-70 AD by the Greeks in a book on the medicinal use of plants. The Greeks and the Romans considered them as an aphrodisiac. 100 percent of the artichokes grown in the United States come from Castroville California and in 1947 Marilyn Monroe was crowned Castroville's first Artichoke Queen.

"The Asparagus": Asparagus are part of a large group of flowering plants, some are grown only as ornamental plants and classified in the lily family, and the ones we are most familiar with are grown as an edible vegetable. The asparagus SPEARS are low in calories, as source of antioxidants, can improve your digestion and lower your blood pressure, are easy to add to your diet and... can help you lose weight.
