I made this art because I’ve always wanted to make jewelry, but I wanted to be able to put more time and care into each piece. Perler beads take a lot of time to set up, and can be very versatile, so it was the perfect medium for my project. I also think strawberries are darling, and remind me of sitting on the bed of a river during summer.

Alan Smithwick, "Tidewater Card P-2022B"

This hand made numismatic trading card is part of a series that has run for 21 years. Another identical one will accompany the real certified rare coin when it is offered for sale on eBay in 2022. The card series began in Micronesia in the year 2000 as part of a coin collecting game that was commercially sponsored. In 2003 it spread to the internet under the handle Islemangu on both eBay and the PCGS Coin Forums. In 2007 they began from the San Francisco Bay Area when the cards started including quotes or writings from historical figures along with the usual numismatic information. Similar to the featured coins each card has 2 completed different sides.
