The California Indian Museum and Cultural Center (CIMCC) has developed a five year project to help bridge the gap in culturally specific youth employment resources. This project will develop a Native youth employment training program which will operate through a new museum store, "The Museum Store & Art Gallery," to be established at CIMCC. Opening Fall 2016, The Museum Store will operate as a soc

ial enterprise to support the Native Youth Employment Training Program (NYETP) which will train and educate American Indian youths (15-24) with the core skills and experience they need to be successful both in pursuing higher education and in entering the workplace. NYETP youth staff the Museum Store to gain work experience before receiving employment placement assistance. Made possible by the Administration for Native Americans Sustainable Employment and Economic Development Strategies (ANA SEEDS) grant.
