A week ago, we opened Joseph Arnegger’s exhibition, Halcyon Daze, and it was fantastic to see the gallery buzzing with collectors, artists, and fans all celebrating this exciting new body of work together. Because of the great response, we’ve decided to extend the exhibition until May 30th. If you’re in downtown Sarasota, we’d love for you to drop by and check it out!

Join us for the opening reception of Halcyon Daze, a new exhibition by painter Joseph Arnegger, on May 8 from 5–8 PM.
Halcyon Daze evokes a sense of nostalgia—those idyllic, sunlit moments remembered as peaceful and unhurried. Through layered textures and imagery drawn from memory, popular culture, and Florida’s luminous landscapes, Arnegger creates paintings that feel both familiar and timeless.
Raised on the shores of Long Island and Florida and educated at Ringling School of Art and Design, Arnegger works on unconventional surfaces such as found wood and metal, building richly patinated compositions that invite close looking and reflection.

Regan’s work drops like blotter acid at an all out house party. Hot imagery pulsating like July heat rising on the Bee ridge asphalt. Intrigued? Working quietly alongside the Sarasota Colony artists of mid-century Sarasota, Flo Singer forged a deeply personal vision shaped by European Expressionism and a life marked by travel, war, and introspection. Influenced by Schiele, Nolde, Klee, and Munch, her paintings and woodcuts pulse with spectral musicians, mysterious animals, and figures emerging from cosmic, dreamlike spaces. Music guided her hand—Bach and Mozart echoing through her Palm Avenue studio—as color and gesture intertwined in works that feel mystical, raw, and emotionally charged.

Singer’s legacy endures through the Johnson Singer Foundation, which continues to support and enrich the visual and performing arts in the region. This exhibition honors an artist whose world was one of poetry, memory, unease, and enduring creative spirit.
