🎨 Featured Artist Friday Spotlight: Gaye Oliver 🎨

We’re excited to feature Gaye Oliver, a talented local artist, retired art educator, and familiar face at many of our Art Wave Productions pop-ups and community events.

Gaye's artistic journey began at an early age in a family that loved and collected art. With a crayon always in hand, she discovered her passion for creativity early and completed her first oil painting at just 10 years old. That love of art eventually led her to a rewarding career teaching art in Michigan before finishing her teaching journey at Palm Bay Magnet High School here on the Space Coast. Today, she enjoys what she spent years encouraging her students to do—creating art from the heart.

Inspired by a lifetime spent along the East Coast, from New York and New Jersey to Massachusetts, Michigan, and now Florida, Gaye’s work reflects her deep connection to the ocean. Her collection features peaceful seascapes, glowing sunsets, swaying palms, coastal wildlife, and a breathtaking underwater mermaid scene that captures the beauty and wonder of life by the sea.

We’re honored to showcase Gaye’s artwork at Breakers Art Gallery, where her paintings are available for the community to enjoy and purchase. Stop by the gallery—or catch her at one of our local pop-ups—and discover the coastal beauty she brings to every canvas.
