Part of Huang’s ongoing series of portraits of Hudson Valley sitters, The Oyster Shucker captures the quiet complexity that unfolds between painter and model over months of conversation and observation. Working from life in her Kingston studio, Huang creates paintings that are as much about perception, vulnerability, and human connection as they are about likeness.

Precious Eboigbodin’s The Resilient Beauty II — a monumental equestrian sculpture constructed entirely from reclaimed stainless-steel utensils — now on view at the Rohmer Annex in Saugerties.

Created during a residency at Rohmer Gallery, the work reflects themes of resilience, transformation, and endurance through one of humanity’s oldest and most enduring companions: the horse.
