What Remains
Acrylic and ink on canvas

This work emerged through layered accumulation—allowing color, interruption, and atmosphere to lead. Deep fields of blue, green, and violet are held in tension by a luminous red horizon, creating a sense of pause that reveals itself slowly over time.

While distinct from my figurative work, What Remains continues my interest in psychological space and what lingers beneath the surface.

Starry Eyed (1989)

Created in 1989, Starry Eyed is a classic example of my early figurative work—where cinematic portraiture, graphic structure, and elegance intersect. I recently discovered that I still have two Artist’s Proofs preserved in my flat files.

Artist’s Proofs are the most sought-after impressions from an edition and are held back by the artist. This work was also among the first pieces acquired by actress Teri Hatcher, early in my career.
