It’s been a little over a year since we last featured , but we couldn't wait to share her latest exciting news. She recently revealed that - her ultimate dream gallery - is now carrying her artwork in both their UK and French locations! ✈️🎨

Jillian is an incredibly talented local artist who has combined her passion for art with her life as a military spouse, building a wonderful business that now spans the Atlantic with some of the premier military art dealers in the world.

We had the pleasure of framing these pieces a couple of months ago for a convention she attended, and we have a feeling at least a few of them found a spot on someone else's wall before the weekend was over. 🖼️✨

If you appreciate military art, Jillian is a true local expert. Be sure to check out her page to see more of her incredible journey!

Following up on our last post about little details, we've got four more pieces to show you.

The first three were for a client looking to add a little "jazz" to her bathroom. It all started with the feather - we wanted to float it to show off those beautiful deckled edges. To make sure the other two pieces didn't feel plain by comparison, we used our Z1 to create custom mat shapes. It added just the right amount of panache and made the whole set feel like a cohesive gallery. 🎨✨

The fourth piece is a delicate embroidery (we've been seeing a lot of these lately!). After noticing there wasn't a single hard edge in the artwork, we made an executive decision to round the corners of the mat. It immediately brought the chair into focus and softened the whole look. The client was ecstatic, telling us, "I always knew I was going to love it, but now I love it so much more!" 🧵💖

It’s those tiny, thoughtful details that turn a frame into a keepsake. What little touches can we add to your next project?

Following on the heels of Memorial Day, we wanted to highlight a special piece for a recent naval recruit! ⚓

At the , Adam took an "Elevate Your Mat Design" class with of . Sponsored by , the class really drove home the idea that "we call it custom framing for a reason - have some fun and make it unique!"

So, when we got the call for this project, we asked the client if we could have a little fun with it. With the thumbs up, we used our (Wizard) mat cutter to create custom cutouts that highlight the challenge coin and plate, reinforcing the naval theme throughout the design.

When we delivered the finished piece, the recruit's mother had tears in her eyes. It’s moments like those that remind us why we love what we do.

Remember, this is custom framing! Come in with an open mind and a bit of creativity, and let’s see what we can design together. 🖼️✨

Monday is Memorial Day. While many of us see it as a welcome day off, we know it carries a much deeper weight.

In this personal edition of , we’re taking a moment to remember all those who lost their lives in service to our country.

No matter how you’re spending your weekend, we hope you stay safe. Our thoughts are with our troops and their families - may they always come home whole, in every sense of the word.

This Friday night, Savannah’s new pro women’s basketball team, , officially tips off their inaugural season at ! 🏀

The Steel are the latest addition to the family, and we’re so excited to have another team making their home right here in Savannah alongside the .

We’re especially thrilled for Coach Coretta Brown (). She’s a local legend from Statesboro who went from breaking records at to playing in the . She’s back home now, and we’re so glad she’s leading the way for our city.

Coach recently brought us a signed poster she’d been keeping in a closet since her camp days with a certain famous Tarheel. It’s a special piece of her history that finally has a place of honor on her wall. It was a bit bigger than she remembered, but we think it’s just the right size for a homecoming! 😂

Welcome home, Coach! We’ll be rooting for you and the Steel this season. 🏆

On today’s , Caleb Harkleroad from shares a piece of family history - his great-grandfather’s first Communion certificate. ⛪✨

To give this heirloom the spotlight it deserves, we floated the certificate on a blue mat. We chose a shade just a bit brighter than the blues in the artwork to make the piece pop while showing off those beautiful deckled edges.

The Salon moulding adds a nice old-world feel that balances out the modern matting perfectly. 🖼️

PS - take a look at the date if you can. It’s from May 23rd, 1926! Since it’s nearly 100 years old, we used acid-free materials and museum glass to make sure it’s protected for the next century, too. 🕰️💎

Watch the video to hear the story and see Caleb’s reaction to the finished piece!

Rudolph “Rudy” Bostic was a self-taught Savannah artist whose religious paintings on cardboard have found their way into collections all over the world. We recently had the chance to work on these two pieces at the same time, thanks to a thoughtful recommendation between friends. One couple came in for their project, and the very next day, their friends stopped by after hearing about their experience. It’s always a compliment when our neighbors share our name with others. 🎨✨

It was interesting to see how each family chose to highlight their piece of Rudy's work. For the grander piece, a green linen mat and curved gold frame felt like a natural fit for the green tones and the lines of the halo. For the simpler painting, a black linen mat and a lighter gold frame with black accents helped the fine details really stand out.

Both designs used mats with a subtle grain that picks up on the texture of the original cardboard without being distracting, though it's hard to see in the pictures.

There is no higher praise than a happy customer passing our name along to a friend, and we’re grateful to be the place where these shared stories come to life.

We’re back with another batch of samples from the ! On today's , we’re checking out three new lines from that put a fresh spin on classic styles.

Willow and Luisant are like two sides of the same coin. They use traditional profiles but update them with unique finishes. Willow leans into warm, natural wood tones - a perfect choice if you want something with more character than the usual minimalist look. Luisant (French for "shiny") offers brushed metallic finishes that are a sophisticated step up from standard gold or silver. ✨

We also have Pompeya, which features a striking mottled metallic finish available in five beautiful colors. 🎨

Stop by the shop to see these in person and see which one speaks to you!
