What does Dale Robinson say is Savannah's best-kept secret?

"The Savannah National Wildlife Refuge area. A mere 15 minute drive over the Talmadge bridge into South Carolina transports you to a tranquil landscape that feels a world away from the city vibe of Savannah. Drive the 5 mile Laurel Hill Wildlife Nature trail that travels through 17th century rice plantation fields, hammocks, dikes and waterways. There you will see migratory birds, alligators, deer, and wild hogs. Ultimately, this short side trek perfectly captures the quiet beauty of the Lowcountry, while providing a relaxing, no cost, accessible break from 'touristing' in Savannah."

What set Mengjie Di on her artistic path?

"A combination of long-term study, teaching, and personal reflection. Over time, I became more interested in meaning, memory, and atmosphere rather than technical perfection alone."

Tamara Garvey has always loved to read, so her paintings frequently incorporate tiny handwriting hidden within the images — like a fun little reward for those who look closely! She graduated from SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) in 2008 with a B.F.A. in illustration, and in 2009 won an Honorable Mention in Savannah’s Telfair Art Fair.

After moving back to Savannah, she joined Gallery 209, where she shows the majority of her original paintings, in 2020. That year, she also received the Judith Alexander Foundation Relief Fund for Georgia Visual Artists.
