🚨News Alert! Since November 2023, Gallery 2424 has hosted over 30 exhibitions and we are proud of the work and the artists we have shown and of the opportunity to be part of Savannah’s artistic community! On June 1, we are closing the chapter on the gallery. But we are excited to share that you will still be able to stop by the space to see amazing art exhibitions because we are welcoming Cleo the Project Space to 2424 Drayton! Please follow if you aren’t already. Cleo is a non-profit arts organization hosting exhibitions of emerging and underrepresented artists alongside community programs and education. Check out their first exhibition in the space opening on June 19 with work by Noah Reyes .matado! More info soon.

Also we still have a full slate of shows for May so stop by to say hello/goodbye! We are so grateful for all of the support over the past 2.5 years ❤️

On view this week! ‘i don’t know how, but it grew from me,’ an MFA painting thesis exhibition by Isabella Covert .art explores the current era of evolving technological intersections with the body. Drawing from feminist posthuman theory, the work in the exhibition challenges current notions of reproduction, gender, and family structures, suggesting alternative synthetic reimaginings of the body.

On view April 15-20, 12-4pm with an opening reception on Friday, April 17, 6-9pm.

So pleased to welcome Katie Glusica
back to the gallery! If you witnessed the magic of her previous installation FENCED, you know you are in for a treat. Her current project FIELD is a site specific installation of hand knotted textile, light and sound exploring metaphors of the expansive human experience as affected by seen and unseen forces.

Opening on First Friday, March 6, 5-9pm. On view through Sunday, March 22. Open hours Saturday and Sunday, 1-4pm or by appointment at [email protected] or [email protected].

Such a fantastic opening night last night for ‘The Winter of our Discontent’ by ! Thanks to everyone for showing up 💪🪵💪 We have a lot of opportunities to see this show before it closes on February 21.

The gallery is open on Saturdays and Sundays 1-4pm, First Friday on Friday, February 6, 5-9pm and an artist talk on Sunday, February 15 at 3pm.

‘In the House of Johnny Ray’ is now open! This exhibition will keep evolving almost daily through January 2. Artist Marta McWhorter will be using the house as a studio to create still life drawings with the frame panels to be placed on the wall throughout the run of the exhibition. So keep coming back to check it out!

The gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays 1-4pm. And mark your calendars for the artist talk on Sunday, December 14 at 3pm!

On view December 5, 2025-January 2, 2026 at Gallery 2424, ‘In the House of Johnny Ray’ is a solo exhibition by Marta McWhorter exploring the intersection of absence and imagination, and the great “What Ifs” surrounding the loss of a parent, through a highly sculptural installation environment.

Through her creative exploration, Marta has built a personalized dreamscape to reimagine a fantastical childhood with the father she did not know from the ages of 3-23. A feast for the senses, the show will entice the viewer to spend time contemplating life and the creative spirit.

Opening Reception: Friday, December 5, 5-9pm
Artist Talk: Sunday, December 14, 3pm
Closing Reception: Friday, January 2, 5-9pm
Open Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 1-4pm or by appointment. Check back for additional hours. Closed for the holidays Saturday, December 27 and Sunday, December 28.
