Did you know we host a fully guided, after hours tour every Saturday evening?? If you didn’t— now you do! This is a 2 hour guided tour of the museum after dark with some paranormal exploration of museum hot-spots included. We’re thrilled to officially be out of the summer months!! 🍂 Fall is around the corner so we’re rolling out the new Fall merch with this pull over crew neck sweater to start!

Some wholesome freak taxidermy apparel has been a long time comin’! This design features some of our most popular residents across our three museums. I honestly couldn’t decide which color combo I like better so we’re offering up this design in two different color garments for you to choose from at checkout! I’m also going to take this post to mention that all of our designs are created and printed in house by actual human beings. The human beings typically being me (Chloë) and Chris (👋👽🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮👽🖕 who is our screen printer AND insanely talented illustrator/artist). I’m genuinely proud that as a company we don’t resort to generative AI for any of our merch, apparel, flyers, museum placards— anything. Much love and support to artists who are still making stuff with their own hands/brains/unique skill sets. I also have a ton of appreciation and respect for folks who consciously make efforts to support artists, individuals, and businesses who make stuff especially right now— we see you! 🫶

If he were still alive, GG Allin would be 70 years old today. We opened this exhibit over a year ago and it’s still the only exhibit we do not allow photography/video inside which has created a lot of curiosity.
The human oddity that is GG embodies fascinating/strange intersection of punk, pop culture, and true crime, but this exhibit dives into more than that— it’s a rare glimpse behind the curtain and off the stage, examining the person vs the persona. Because it’s so personal and includes details, items, and stories never shared publicly, we’ll keep this exhibit no photography BUT wanted to offer a little sneak peek for today.

Some of you know, but others may not— we are more than a museum! Graveface started (and still functions) as an independent record label, celebrating indie musicians of various genres across the globe. We also created Graveface Films to bring that same energy to home video, releasing indie and arthouse cinema on Blu-ray! I (Chloë) also make all of the artwork for the titles on this imprint (at least so far!)

All Graveface Films are now available on our website (gravefacemuseum.com/shop) and will be on sale for the next 7 days! I don’t do art for media I don’t watch/listen to so if you need a recommendation I got you covered 🫡

We’re excited to collaborate with After Life Tours again in the coming months for some specialized paranormal exploration of our museum in Savannah AND for the first time ever Graveface Museum Chicago !
The tour is 2.5 h, which includes a fully guided tour of the museum followed by a review of the building’s history, crash course on paranormal equipment, and a paranormal investigation of the museum led by Kim and Ryan Dunn!

Happy Texas Chain Saw Day from our sister location the Terror Vision Museum! We collaborated with TCM and TheOfficialTCMMuseum to recreate a walkthrough of notable scenes from the original 1974 film, incorporating screen used props and original/rare marketing material, with plenty of photo ops and interactive props inside 📸

TV Museum is in Starland next door to Graveface Records & Curiosities — currently open Saturday & Sunday 12-7pm and first Fridays of each month from 7-9pm 🪦

Today marks the anniversary of the murders carried out by the Manson Family which reshaped so many aspects of society and culture. For our True Crime Convention: CULTS we were thrilled to host Tom O’Neill Tom O'Neill to discuss his research into the Manson Family and beyond. I’ve been championing his book since first reading it and sharing a stage with Tom to discuss it was an incredible and enlightening experience.

Bramber Museum postcards in our Victorian exhibit 🐈 Mr Potter’s Museum of Curiosities at the Bramber Museum was a legendary Victorian taxidermy exhibit featuring anthropomorphic animal dioramas created by Walter Potter.
Potter was a self taught taxidermist, born in 1835. He specialized in depicting animals mimicking human behavior and social situations, he also preserved “freak” taxidermy like the one on these post cards. Some of his best known work includes kittens in a school room or attending a wedding and the attention to detail was extreme (down to making underwear for them). By the early 1910s his collection spanned 10,000+ pieces.
Potter’s breadth of work is the direct inspiration behind why I started teaching myself taxidermy. Instead of kittens attending a Victorian wedding however, I opted for rats mocking the Satanic Panic. The rat sacrifice has been on display in Savannah since we opened, I haven’t made anything in years but am still very fond of anthropomorphic taxidermy 🖤

Pre-1900s UFO reports just hit different 🙂‍↕️. On our VERY long drive from Savannah to Los Angeles, we stopped in Aurora to visit the grave of Ned— the alien who was allegedly buried in Aurora TX in 1897 after his UFO crashed into a windmill. I wish Aurora would put his original grave marker back…
