🍪🎉 Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 🎉🍪 Here are some mind-blowing facts about Americans’ favorite cookie!
The Science of Melting: Ever wonder why chocolate chips melt into gooey goodness in your cookies? It's all about the melting point! Chocolate has a lower melting point than the dough, allowing those delightful morsels to transform into mouthwatering pools of chocolatey delight.
The Power of Leavening Agents: Baking powder and baking soda play a crucial role in cookie chemistry. These leavening agents release carbon dioxide gas when heated, creating tiny bubbles that make the cookies rise and become light and fluffy.
The Art of Creaming: Creaming butter and sugar together isn't just about creating a creamy texture—it's science! As you mix them, the sugar crystals create air pockets, which give cookies a tender texture and contribute to their overall rise.
Maillard Reaction Magic: When your cookies turn golden brown and develop that irresistible aroma, it's all thanks to the Maillard reaction. This chemical
reaction between sugars and proteins gives the cookies their delicious flavor and lovely caramelized appearance.
Cookie Spread Secrets: Wondering why your cookies spread out while baking? It's due to the balance between ingredients like butter, sugar, and flour. The butter
melts, and as it heats, it spreads, causing the cookies to flatten and expand.
And don't forget to share your favorite cookie moments using the hashtag . Enjoy! 🌟

Who remembers Romper Room? 📺 The Children’s TV program aired from 1953 to 1994 and was a rare example of a series that was both franchised and syndicated. Rather than air the national telecast of the show, local affiliates would produce their own version of the program based on the same script.
In Albany, New York, the program appeared on WTEN from 1958 into the 1960s. Miss Diane Weber (the Romper Room hosts were always known as Miss, even if the were married) hosted the show through most of its run.
Each program opened with a greeting from the host and the Pledge of Allegiance. The host and a group of children would then embark on 30 or 60 minutes of games, exercises, songs, story-telling and moral lessons, which were accompanied by background music.
