Join us for A Weekend with John Meister
Friday, June 5 - Saturday, June 6, 11am - 4pm
Santa Fe • New Mexico

Legacy Gallery is pleased to present A Weekend with John Meister, a special two-day event celebrating one of New Mexico’s most intuitive interpreters of light, land, and atmosphere. Featuring 11–15 new paintings, this exhibition offers collectors a rare opportunity to experience Meister’s latest work alongside live painting demonstrations by the artist.

Deeply rooted in the landscape of the Southwest, Meister’s work captures the quiet resilience and unexpected beauty of the New Mexico terrain. From shifting skies and distant mesas to intimate studies of earth, light, and structure, his paintings reflect a profound sensitivity to place. Working both en plein air and in the studio, Meister approaches the land as both subject and teacher—observing its rhythms, textures, and subtle transformations with a practiced and reverent eye.

Having spent over three decades in New Mexico, Meister brings a uniquely personal perspective to his work—one shaped by memory, movement, and a lifelong dialogue with the natural world. His paintings embody what can only be described as a sense of “magical realism,” where light and atmosphere elevate the ordinary into something quietly extraordinary.

Throughout the weekend, guests are invited to engage with the artist as he demonstrates his process in real time, offering insight into his approach to composition, color, and the ever-changing qualities of light. This immersive experience reflects Meister’s longstanding commitment not only to his own practice, but to fostering connection within the broader artistic community.

Join us for this intimate and inspiring event, and experience the enduring beauty of the New Mexico landscape through the eyes of an artist devoted to capturing its strength, spirit, and soul.

Legacy Gallery is thrilled to represent Jonathan Noon in both our Santa Fe an Scottsdale Galleries. Pictured here is his painting Cooling Off (34 x 27"). We want to tell you a little about these paintings. Jonathan paints on Aluminum Composite Material (ACM).

ACM is a highly stable painting surface composed of two thin aluminum sheets bonded to a rigid composite core. Increasingly favored by contemporary artists, ACM offers exceptional rigidity and durability while remaining lightweight. Unlike traditional wood panels or canvas, it resists warping, shrinking, and expansion over time, making it an excellent archival surface when properly prepared. The material accepts ground exceptionally well and provides a smooth, consistent painting surface. Interestingly, it is similar to the material commonly used for architectural signage and road signs.

We are proud to announce that we now represent Jonathan Noon

Jonathan Noon brings a refined and compelling voice to contemporary Western art through
his mastery of figurative realism. Born in 1985 and raised in the American Southwest, Noon
draws profound inspiration from the landscapes, history, and enduring spirit of the West—
subjects that continue to shape both his identity and artistic vision.

Deeply influenced by the great masters of the past while engaging with contemporary
realism, Noon’s paintings celebrate the strength, beauty, and vulnerability of the human
experience. Whether capturing historical narratives or evocative Western scenes, his work
reflects a reverence for virtue, resilience, and the enduring character of the American West.

Legacy Gallery is proud to present this collection of Jonathan Noon’s available works,
offering collectors an opportunity to experience an artist whose paintings seamlessly unite
history, technical excellence, and contemporary vision.
