1.The fun begins at Steamtown National Historic Site, located at Lackawanna Avenue at Cliff Street, in Scranton. Stop by the ticketing booth to pick up your official Piecing Together the Past starter kit. Hint: the starter pack includes an empty puzzle tray that you will need later!
2. Visit geocaching.com for participating site coordinates.
3. Explore all 12 participating historic sites and search for caches containing puzzle pieces for each site.
4. When you’ve collected all 12 puzzle pieces, assemble your puzzle and bring it to Steamtown NHS to collect your prize! Piecing Together the Past is made possible through a partnership between Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area and Steamtown National Historic Site with grant funding provided by the National Heritage Area Program of the National Park Service.
