Every Thursday through Labor Day, the Everhart is open extended hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and from 5 to 7 p.m., AV Restaurant & Lounge is hosting a cash bar featuring a fine selection of beer and wine to enjoy while taking in the art and music.

Happy Hour is included with general Museum admission.

The best kind of mail. 💙📬

Today we received a collection of handwritten notes from students at R.D. Wilson Elementary School after their visit to the Everhart Museum. Their thoughtful words and drawings were a wonderful reminder of the impact museum experiences can have on young learners. ✏️🎨😊

As the school year comes to a close, we’re proud to have welcomed more than 1,400 public school students through guided tours and educational programs during the 2025-2026 school year. 🔬🦋🎨

Thank you to every student, teacher, school, and chaperone who visited us this year and helped make the Everhart a place of curiosity, creativity, and discovery

Next Thursday and Friday, June 4 and 5, the NEPA community will come together for 24 hours of generosity supporting organizations that make our region so special! 2026 has already been an exciting year at the Everhart, with exhibitions like 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢 250: 𝘞𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦, 𝘏𝘶𝘣𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘦: 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘝𝘪𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦 and 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘌𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 bringing visitors from near and far, educational programs reaching thousands of students, and events welcoming new and longtime supporters alike.

As we recently celebrated our 10,000th visitor of 2026, we’re grateful for the community support that makes it all possible. Gifts made during NEPA Gives help fund exhibitions, educational programs, events, and the care of our historic building as we continue what is shaping up to be a banner year.

We’re getting into summer mode, and this Thursday, May 28, kicks off a brand-new Everhart event series: Summertime Happy Hours! ☀️🎶

Every Thursday through Labor Day, the Museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Happy Hour happening from 5 to 7 p.m. each week.

Our friends from AV will joining us for the entire series with a cash bar in the lobby featuring a fine selection of beer and wine, while a rotating lineup of entertainment keeps the good vibes going all summer. For the inaugural edition, EJ the DJ will be providing the soundtrack for the evening 🎤🎵

🎨📦 Today was Museum Adventure Toolkit Delivery day, as our team proudly delivered Toolkits for over 1,400 students in Scranton School District!

These Tool Kits, provided completely free to public schools thanks to the generous businesses who contributed though the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, are packed with five days of engaging lessons and materials, bringing the wonder of museum education directly into the classroom. 🏫✨

🌟✏️ We're thrilled to make experiences in natural history, science, and art more accessible through this free program and help broaden these young learners’ horizons. If your school is interested in this program, be sure to reach out when registration opens for next school year!
