Carol loves color and flowers, she has been cultivating this Bird of paradise for a while and it recently bloomed. It’s amazingly beautiful.

Yesterday I went to the river . The water was about 45 degrees and the air temperature was near 80 it created this lovely fog that meandered about. The trout were a bit shy . After fishing I sat in the sun along river to warm my body up, It was a beautiful day to be outside.

Etruscan vase . Rome Italy. I think it’s interesting how pots and imagery can look so similar to other cultures . Native American motifs in relation to early Persian motifs. Looking at Etruscan design along side Native American design the use of geometry, negative and positive space are quite similar. The way the image fits on pot is given great consideration when conceptualizing the overall design. Travel is a grand teacher for everyone ,the blending and cross pollination of cultures and ideas is fertile ground for an Artist. I prefer drinking from many different cultural well springs comparing and contrasting along the way. Imagine what it was like to travel the Silk Road all the artists, musicians ,food and spices . seagrovepotters
