Inktober2023beast Day 27. There seems to be a bit of controversy about which animal is beast of the jungle. Lion or tiger? Geographically the lion does not dwell in the jungle; its natural habitat is the grasslands and open plains. On the other hand, the tiger’s home is in the jungle. The tiger with its stealth, strength and agility is a beast to be wary of.The tiger has been known to take down an elephant without help. But the lion will turn away from attacking an elephant when alone. The lion’s dominant position at the top of the food chain in the animal kingdom establishes it as King of the jungle. Although, not king, the tiger definitely is a powerful and respected beast of the jungle.

Inktober2023sparkle Day 28. “Be like a diamond precious and rare not like a stone that is found everywhere.” - Rita Gatourey. The first diamond engagement ring has been traced back to Mary of Burgundy given to her by the Archduke Maximilian of Austria in 1477. The symbolic sparkle of the diamond represents purity of fidelity or faithfulness and strength. The suitor would go to the father or guardian and get his blessing before presenting his intended with the ring. It is customary to place the diamond ring on the fourth finger of the left hand. An early source reported that this finger contains the vena amoris or “vein of love” which connects back to the heart.
