MV Lotus Foundation

MV Lotus Foundation 1909 Historic Cruising Houseboat managed by the non-profit MV Lotus Foundation. Lodging & Event Venue She is mostly original and true to her original purpose.

M/V Lotus was launched in 1909 during the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle, Washington. Using the most talented marine engineers and architects and shipyard details in design and construction, she represents a bygone era in Pacific Northwest History. Her sturdy design is capable and handsome on the water - but step inside and your first words will likely be "Wow". Extremely comfortable a

nd spacious - commodious was the word of the day - she sleeps 10 with 2 baths (one a shower and the other a full size claw foot tub), has a wonderful craftsman main saloon, a spacious galley, and view-affording pilot house. 70 feet of covered deck and lots of comfortable seating makes a wonderful gathering spot for a gathering or event.

I happened to check out the Lake Union Park website and front and center is a panoramic photo of MOHAI and the Historic Ships Wharf, including MV Lotus, the 1909 Cruising Houseboat. There is lots to see and do at Lake Union Park. Come for a weekend tour of Lotus (the big white boat on the left).
