From our friends at the Heard Memorial Club House:
On Sunday, March 22, the Henry Blosser Estate near Malta Bend will host
an afternoon of tours sponsored by the Heard Memorial Club House. A
three-story Swiss horse barn is part of the Second Empire mansion’s
property which dates back to 1878. The site is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places. Before the house and surrounding
structures were restored, the Blosser mansion was listed as an
endangered historic building in 2014. The mansion is now completely
furnished with both contemporary comforts and period accents. Situated
on five aces of peaceful rural terrain seven miles north of Marshall,
the estate features a restored guest cottage, fine art, antique
furnishings, and the huge event barn. More details on the estate can be
found at www.historicstyle.com or the Henry Blosser Estate website.
Tickets on March 22 will be sold at the Blosser event barn after 1 p.m.
for $25. Advance ticket sales end on March 20. All proceeds from the
tours will benefit restoration work at the 1906 Heard House property
located in Sedalia.
