Given our galleries' long history anchoring the heart of the Sedona Gallery District it is not easy to announce that our Sedona galleries - Lanning & Turquoise Tortoise - have closed their doors. We now enter a period of assessing our options for locations in the Phoenix Valley area. Many factors went into this decision, none of which detract from the immense gratitude we feel to all of our tremendously gifted artists and to our many loyal collectors. Thank you all!

"Mercury Drops" by artist Seth Fairweather in Sedona AZ. Each a separate art piece from 3" to over 8" wide that reflects you back to yourself to varying degrees, mirroring how you are reflected in the world. With every encounter, small to long, we are seen to be someone... is it accurate? Can an aberrant moment of our behavior cause a passing encounter to leave us completely misjudged? Or, is all of it our true reflection? A lot to ponder. And that's the best that art can offer.

You know how it is when no one wants to take the last cookie on the plate? Well, "Sitting Dog" believes that must be what's happening... Because he's plenty handsome, quiet as a mouse, and loyal to a fault! All his friends have made it to their forever homes while "Sitting Dog" is getting way too used to our gallery courtyard! If he (or she, you decide!) would look terrific on your lawn or in your garden, at your front entrance or courtyard, come on by and we'll help you make it happen! Artist Russ Vogt has a mission to help all of us smile more, and with "Sitting Dog" (of ceramic mosaic tiles) he more than succeeds!!
