Yesterday was a red letter day at the Johnston County Museum. JoCo native Wayman Britt shared some of his inspiring story and signed copies of his memoir, Fulfilling the Dream. There was so much positive energy and love in that room! For those who missed, there are still a few copies of the book for sale.

Our shout out goes to historic Brattlesboro, VT, located just 1 hour from the birthplace of President Calvin Coolidge! They bested us in the matchup and we wish them luck as they advance!

Strong Towns has notified Activate Selma and the Town of Selma that Selma NC was NOT CHOSEN to move on to the next round of the Strongest Town Contest.

“We had some incredible matchups this year, however, and want to applaud you for making it to this point in the competition!” they told us. “Additionally, the Strong Towns staff thanks you for the work you did filling out the application; we know that took time. We're grateful for everything you're doing to make your [town] stronger and more financially resilient, and hope you consider applying again next year.”
