Reuben May, Student Artist, showing off his ceramics collection on display for this month of May in Blue Whole Gallery.

After taking a ceramics class at Peninsula College last summer he quickly fell in love with the process and will be displaying his porcelain vessels, carved with imagery of Floridian plants and animals, where he spent his childhood.

Reuben has built his new life here in Washington State, a home defined by belonging. Outside of the studio, he is a nursing student at Peninsula College, a husband, and a father.

This coming May we are excited to welcome our newest member to Blue Whole Gallery, Gary Roberts, working with steel to create sculptures with various paint and patina finishes.

Gary received his degree from the Ohio State University in Architecture and practiced architecture for over 40 years. He has taken several welding and metal art classes over the years and dabbled with his artwork in his spare time. Upon retiring and moving to Sequim, Gary has turned his part time love of art into a full-time commitment.

You can read more about Gary and see more of his sculptures on our website at bluewholegallery.com under "artists"
