Along the New England coastline, rocky beaches stretch for miles, each one shaped by its own character and colored by the land it comes from. Some stones glow with warm earthy tones, while others are cool and weathered, each shoreline telling a slightly different story.

And every day, for as long as anyone can imagine, the waves return. They strike the rocks again and again with steady determination, never rushing, never stopping. Over time, that relentless rhythm has carved and softened the coastline, shaping the stones into the enduring, beautiful forms we see today.

Natural stone color against the beautiful blues and greens of the ocean make beautiful paintings 💕

I wanted to share Wave 2 with you. It holds a single ocean moment where a sea green crest curls forward and a luminous spray fans across deep navy, with small warm touches that make the movement feel immediate. Van Gogh’s line feels fitting here: "The heart of man is very much like the sea, it has its storms, it has its tides and in its depths it has its pearls too." It’s a beautiful day in May

As an artist I use color, emotions and mark making based upon my feelings. I rarely copy a scene as it is. In my work I add joy to my art- the joy that I find in nature.

I have always observed light and color in nature . I attempt to bring both into my work.

I’m not a fast hiker because I spend a lot time looking at everything much to Kurt’s dismay😉 when you take time to really look you find all kinds of beauty in nature no matter the time of year!
