A gallery full of creativity, color, and inspiration! 🎨🌿

Our Still Life Exhibit is on view, featuring a wonderful mix of artistic interpretations, from familiar subjects to unexpected compositions.

Beyond the exhibition, the gallery is filled with original artwork, ceramics, photography, and handcrafted treasures created by local artists.

Stop in, take your time exploring, and enjoy all that SVA has to offer!

SVA is excited to be one of the participating stops for Harbor Centre’s Fall W**e Walk on Saturday, October 24!

Spend the afternoon exploring Downtown Sheboygan, the Riverfront, and South Pier while enjoying w**e tastings, mocktails, and visits to local businesses.

Be sure to stop by the SVA gallery, where you can enjoy our current Still Life Exhibit and browse a wonderful collection of original artwork and handcrafted pieces by local artists!

Join artist and instructor Tracy Bezesky for a two-day workshop, Golden Opens and Fundamentals of Landscape, and discover the possibilities of slow-drying acrylic paint.

Learn the unique characteristics of Golden Open acrylics while exploring landscape composition, color theory, and painting techniques. Whether you’re looking to try a new medium or expand your painting skills, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to get creative!

🎨🍂 Congratulations to SVA members Evelyn Grasse (honorable mention), Rob Burkhard (best of historic town), and Tracy Merchant Bezesky (3rd place) on receiving awards at the Plymouth Arts Center’s annual Paint the Towns in Fall Color Plein Air Competition & Exhibition!

With more than 100 paintings entered, this year’s event brought together Midwest artists to capture the beauty of our surrounding communities.

Congratulations to all the participating artists, and thank you to the Plymouth Arts Center for organizing this wonderful event!

The exhibition continues at Plymouth Arts Center’s Gallery 110 North through November 13, 2026.

A little still life for your weekend. 🍊🌿🍅

A Still Life Exhibit is on view at SVA, bringing together a wide range of interpretations of the genre, from classic arrangements and familiar objects to quieter moments and unexpected details.

The show moves easily between traditional still life and more playful, contemporary takes on the theme.

Stop in this weekend and spend some time with the exhibit.

A little look back at our Intro to a Hand-Quilt Square workshop held September 26 at the SVA Gallery! 🧵

Instructor Anne Berger guided participants through the basics of hand quilting, from piecing their blocks to stitching and learning the techniques that bring everything together. We love seeing all the different fabric combinations and individual touches taking shape around the table.

A few painting highlights from Brian’s September Tonal Painting class at SVA. 🎨

These pieces offer a glimpse into the different approaches and possibilities explored in class. In October, Brian will expand the focus to include landscapes, while still offering still life for beginners or anyone who prefers to continue working with it.

Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or bringing some painting experience, you can work at your own level and build from there.
