Join us in May for another exciting month of programming with Sheboygan County Museum! During May, museum staff will be working with Lakeview Community Library, and Mead Public Library to host "Show and Tell Remix" events in Random Lake and Sheboygan. Participants are encouraged bring an object and tell their stories at these events focused on sharing and preserving their own histories. More information can be found on each library's websites.

May will also feature two wonderful speakers at the Museum. First, speaker and author Dr. Pao Lor will share his firsthand account of being a young boy who fled Laos and his scholarship on the Hmong Diaspora on May 5. Then, on May 16, art history scholar and Volunteer Coordinator Erin Brehmer will be discussing how architecture and religious worship collided in the early populations of Sheboygan immigrants. Pre-registration for both of these presentations can be found at bit.ly/registerthesheb

Filmmaker Beah Travis used to work at the Milestones adult living facility on the southside of Sheboygan. So many of the residents became an important part of Beah's life and they started to film slices of life at the home.

The debut for this short documentary takes place right here at Sheboygan County Museum THIS THURSDAY, April 16, 6:00pm-7:30pm including a talkback with residents from the home!

What an honor to be chosen by the students and families of Wilson Elementary School - Sheboygan WI to receive this generous gift in support of our annual Holiday Memories event. We even shared the good news with Bruce the Spruce and he said "two branches up!" 🎉🎉

A portion of the funds raised from our Winter Games of the Heart fundraiser was donated to the Sheboygan County Historical Museum in support of their Holiday Memories Exhibit. The remaining funds will be used to purchase equipment for a new Backyard Games unit in our physical education classes.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of presenting Museum Director Brett Lobello with a check—thank you to everyone who helped make this possible
